Coaching & Mentoring for Police Leavers
My area of expertise is coaching and mentoring police officers who are looking to, or are in the process of, leaving the police service. This can be a difficult time for people, even if they are desperate to leave. Many join the police as a lifelong career and when it doesn’t quite go to plan it can be scary and you can be left feeling lost and vulnerable. I am here to make the process easier by providing a safe and confidential place to talk and explore what the future may look like. Together we can put plans into action and help you transition to a fulfilling life outside of the police.
Why Police Officers?
My first career was a police officer. I was medically retired in 2015 and it was not an easy process to go through. I like to give back and support other officers leaving the police service – and they can be leaving for whatever reason – not just ill health retirement. I am a certified coach with additional experience in recruitment and HR. As someone with personal experience of leaving the security of the police service I have the skills to support others looking to leave or who have recently left.
I provide a mix of coaching and mentoring depending on what my client needs. As I have also worked in recruitment and been a hiring manager myself, I provide additional support to improve CVs and interview skills.
Who Do I Work With?
I am one person rather than a company meaning that I can only work with a select number of clients. But this also means you get support that is specifically tailored to your situation rather than a one size fits all approach.
